This powerful song from Billboard Top 10 recording artist Grant Maloy Smith is a fictional first-person account of the day that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated in Memphis, Tennessee.

This tragic day comes to life in this song, which was recorded at the iconic Sun Studios in Memphis, just blocks from where Dr. King was cruelly cut down.

“Sometimes, music expresses things the history books can’t. That’s where Grant Maloy Smith works. He does a damn good job of it. Always has.”
