The Woman God Made For Me

Billboard Top 10 and MusicRow charting songwriter Grant Maloy Smith tells the true story of Monte Stephens, a Country singer and evangelist preacher, who lived a hard life until he met the love of his life at age 62, Janice Brown. Janice was also a preacher, as well as an acclaimed Gospel singer, having struck gold with the 1990 song “The Rough Side Of The Mountain.”  This is the story of their love, told in song.

Smith, who sings and plays guitar on the song, is joined by legendary four time ACM Steel Guitarist of the Year, Mike Johnson (Reba McEntire, George Jones, Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson). The stirring backing vocals are sung by top Nashville singers Kimberly Fleming (Al Green, Amy Grant, Vince Gill) and Kim Mont (Michael McDonald, Reba McEntire).
