Code of Ethics
Feature film, suspense/thriller, composer of original score
JO DEANGELO (Melissa Leo, Academy Award winner) is a government Medicaid administrator. Her department has developed a computer program that uses advanced techniques to identify people who are obtaining state funded medical care illegally. But a vicious murderer has invaded the computer network. To her horror, JO finds that the game is forcing her to choose victims, which he then murders. The game also provides her with clues which she must track down in order to stop the killer before he strikes again. In a deadly game of brinksmanship, JO and the killer try to stop each other. Along the way, JO learns some important lessons about herself and how she has been hiding from the life that she wants. The film races to a suspensful climax when the killer goes after a final target: JO herself, who is about to expose him. The final scenes as the hunter and hunted battle to survive are heartpounding. Jonathan Walker turns in a sensitive performance as MARTIN, JO’s love interest, who becomes a suspect along the way. Olinda Turturro and Dechen Thurman are memorable in supporting roles, and David Beecroft is a powerful presense as a state legislator and “heavy.”
